'The suitcase' is a story about family history - a boy discovers a mysterious suitcase full of old things and sets out to find out who they belong to, making a surprising discovery at the end. The story was inspired by a visit to my parents' house, where I was looking at old photographs and realised how difficult it is, even for me as an adult, to imagine my grandparents when they were young. I hope the story would stir children's curiosity about the past lives of family members and start interesting conversations between generations.
