This picture book(‘blues of night) was made in a textless picture book, and then add text.
In this book, it describes a woman who is trying to soothe fire in riot during midnight. At the end of the story, the fire turns out to be the woman's child.
While existing picture books mostly focus on the mother's motherhood, this book is focused on the emotional and caring labor that the mother has to endure as a mother not a woman.
the hardship of caring work and the more difficult society's discriminatory gaze. In addition, I wanted to say that in the reality where childishness is glorious, it is not a mistake, it is natural. And looking back at my mother with a blue fire at the end, I wanted to talk about solidarity.
