Which Dinosaur am I?

James Barker | United Kingdom

A simple story about a young dinosaur that hatches later than its siblings and gets left behind. It finds itself not knowing which dinosaur it is and so by meeting various quirky prehistoric creatures – whom are not especially helpful – along the way learns more what it is not than what it is. The tone of voice is conversational, simple, dry, and somewhat humorous. The reader is not made aware of which dinosaur the main character is until it is finally revealed on the final pages.

The illustrations are a combination of simple, vibrant and graphic drawings, naïve, whilst at the same time full of detail. The mediums used is primarily colour pencil with sparing use of digital manipulation.
