Can I have a fluffy hug?

Bibi (Chien-Ni Lai) | Taiwan

Loving and caring for myself is something I’ve been practicing lately. I’ve found that when I stop seeking my worth through others, and no longer betray my own needs to make others comfortable, my heart feels lighter. That lightness becomes a sense of safety, and when I feel safe inside, I begin to feel full. From that fullness, love flows more freely. Through this project, I aim to share this message with the audience and gently remind myself that love and safety start within our hearts. We always have the power to create them. Don’t forget that kind of magic lives within us.
The main character and fluffy concept were inspired by my hamster. When I hold her gently in my hands, I feel her soft fur and her warm little body. No words are needed, just the quiet rhythm of her heartbeat and the soft sound of her purring is enough to fill my heart with joy. That kind of happiness is what I hope to capture through my illustrations, and what I hope the audience will feel too: something soft, safe, and full of warmth.
