Plik, plak, pio

Juliette Farges | Belgium

Pio regularly, or sometimes not so regularly, finds himself overwhelmed by a feeling he calls “Rain.” It takes over him completely, seeping into his daily life and growing stronger and stronger. This emotion, which he doesn’t quite understand, makes him feel tiny (really tiny)next to it.

But with the help of the people he loves and who are there for him, Pio slowly learns to tame this flood of feelings and begins to enjoy sunnier days, whether he's alone or surrounded.

Told in a gentle and imaginative way, this story explores those feelings we don’t always know how to name. Feelings that might look like sadness, loneliness, or even anxiety. It touches on how these emotions can sometimes overflow and flood everyday life.

This text offers a tender way to explore and better understand these painful, negative emotions. Reminding us that it’s completely normal to feel them. Ultimately, it is a hopeful story, filled with small keys to help children gradually learn how to navigate their own “Rain” and make room for lightness and joyful moments.
