Enough, Done, I'm Gone

Either-Or, Enemy or Friend?
A biting story about tug-of-war and playful negotiation in a children's friendship. Three dogs want to play with the squirrel, but the squirrel sets a few conditions before coming down from its tree. Once they start playing, a rapid back-and-forth ensues, full of mischief, bravado, and mutual teasing. The extreme vertical format emphasizes the contrast between the squirrel's world in the trees and the dogs' world on the ground. The humor and body language of the characters keep us engaged and play a central role in this book.
The impulse for this story comes from the negotiation of ideas in shared role-play between siblings. The idea for the "either-or text" comes from our daily interactions and the observation of the echo effect – how this everyday language, which can be threatening, also amplifies between children and adults.
