This book is based on the Mayan Myth of the Jaguar, which I rewrote in my own words. It is a tale about how the jaguar, whose fur was once gold and plain became spotted. The jaguar was so vanitous that he destroyed the peace and harmony that existed between the animals of the jungle. The Lord of the forest, guardian of all living beasts gives him a "curse".
