Bricks is a silent picturebook about a very stubborn little man trying to build a wall.
Some things happen in this endeavor, he makes enemies, and then, friends. The wall is not so stable, but they seem to be having fun.
In essence it is a book about a wall – that we don’t get do know why or where is being builded, maybe they just want to create something? or maybe this mystery needs another book to be solved – but also about cooperation, laughing at yourself and not fearing first attempts at things.
Also about bicker with your neighbor over the right brick as a matter of life and death and then making amends. And then bicker a little more so as not to miss the opportunity.
I made the illustrations for this book using stamps, colored paper, adhesive tape and ink pen.
