This is a story about waiting and how two characters deal with it. The focus is on the different emotional phases you go through while waiting. On the outside, nothing really happens in this story. On the inside, the emotions are going wild and are increased on the level of illustrations and often end up in absurdities.
Summary:
The story begins in the middle of nowhere at a bus stop, where two people are waiting for the bus. Apparently, it is late and the two are getting a little nervous, but they keep hoping that the bus will arrive soon.
Time passes by and they become uncertain, wondering if they missed it - they start to panic.
They question everything: the bus stop, their existence, the world, reality. But they finally calm down again and talk themselves into hope. But the bus does not come. They plunge into self-doubt and question themselves and their behavior, which degenerates into trying out waiting positions. Finally, they remain in an abstruse and uncomfortable position, hoping it is right.
But the bus still does not come. They get angry, blame the bus and threaten to leave on the spot. But, of course, they stay. And wait.
In the moment of defeat, they discover the birds that had been there since the beginning and are now sitting on their heads and shoulders. Fascinated by this situation, they get into a playful competition to see who can have more birds sitting on them, completely forgetting about their surroundings. The birds become more and more. At this moment the bus passes by - but they don‘t notice that, they are totally focused on their game.
The story ends again in nowhere and you can only hear them counting and laughing in the
distance.
