Mamihlapinatapai is a native word from the Yámanas people of Tierra del Fuego. The word describes the exchange of looks between two people who expect for each other to start an action wished by both, but which neither feels confident to initiate. This picturebook is a collection of unique encounters in which the desire to connect is stronger than hesitation.
