Individuo is a colorful picturebook about dementia. Instead of simply writing off a person with dementia as ‘a demented person’ individuo wants to focus on who these people are as individuals (individu) and the people who love and care for them (duo). Individuo wants to explore the visual possibilities of a heavier subject like dementia in picture books. The end result is a completely risoprinted book with a silk screened cover. This book was made as part of my masters project, on my request Harte Van Eynde (BE) wrote the short stories in consultation with me.
