When the wealthy Lady Katzenjammer sets off to attend the coronation of the new King, her dozens of cats decide they that would like to come too. Setting off after her, they terrorise the city’s inhabitants, stealing their clothes in an attempt to make the perfect human disguise. But when the cats finally arrive at the coronation, they can’t resist one final act of kleptomania: stealing the crown right off the King’s head!
The story follows the cats on their adventure through town, using big, colourful spreads and “hide and seek” puzzle pages as they construct their flamboyant disguise
